Susan Thomas -
You think it, We ink it.
Over the past 27 years in the print industry, Susan Thomas,
through sharing her passion knowledge and experiences, has become
a positive role model within the business community. After
attending college in California, Susan moved to BC where she
joined a prominent Vancouver printing company. As their first
female sales representative she trail-blazed a path in what had
been a male dominated industry. It did not take long for Susan to
make a big splash with her new company. She astounded her
colleagues by selling the very first full colour job thus proving
herself as an industry innovator.
In
November of 1982, with her husband Glynn's dream as an
inspiration, Susan co-founded Printfastic. Beginning, as most
entrepreneurs do, on a frail shoe string budget, Susan and her
team have grown the company into a printing powerhouse in her
market.
Despite hardships that come with being a business owner, Susan has
never lost sight of the importance of wholesome community values.
Susan fervently supports and volunteers in many community
organizations such as Fraser Valley Printing House of Craftsman.
She proudly served as a chairman of the education committee and
the gallery of superb printing. Continuing to be a leader Susan
become the first female President for the chapter. As President,
Susan would facilitate the board meeting & meetings each month
during that term and established herself as a mentor for others in
the industry. Other organizations Susan has had the pleasure to be
involved with include Surrey Chamber of Commerce and Focused
Networking. More recently Susan joined the Valley Woman's
Networking in an effort to help promote women in business and
allow others to benefit from her vast knowledge and wisdom.
Working in an industry that is ever changing with technological
advances, Susan understands the value of continuing education. She
consistently takes industry and business related courses to ensure
she keeps her place at the top of her field. Beginning with
College in Riverside California, in the 1970's, continuing to
today with a business program called Achieving Excellence, Susan
continues to add to her industry understanding.
Susan Thomas has had a business career that would be the envy of
many. Her passion for her craft established her as an industry
pioneer. Despite her business success, Susan has never allowed her
fast pace life to take her away from the importance of friends,
family and community involvement. She continues to give back to
the community in meaningful ways. Through her years of experience
and commitment to integrity, Susan has positively impacted the
printing community.
