After working on straight commission for fourteen years while
raising two boys, I realized there had to be more; I knew my life
must have a greater purpose. However, like most people, I didn’t
know what it was so I took the time to be still and search for the
answers. This led me to discover my true purpose: to spread love,
peace, happiness, joy and contentment. I was then shown a way to
accomplish it – by teaching people how to build good, solid
business relationships. The result: in 1994 Focused Networking™
Ltd. (FNL) was born.
My goal was to create something different in networking. Rather
than assume people already knew how to network effectively, FNL
grew from the premise that most did not. As a result, I pioneered
a new type of networking, one that is supportive and
non-threatening. Focused Networking™ Ltd. has become a training
ground for business people to learn and practice new networking
skills. It is also a place to learn about building relationships
and teams using complementary industries and strategic alliances.
What excites me the most is that we stand behind and support our
members; we are there for each other – we are like a family.
Quality referrals come automatically to those who have learned to
give and receive equally, one of the underlying values of FNL.
I also believe in teaching and demonstrating the importance of
values. This helps people discover what is most important to them;
that their values are a vital part of who they are and how they
make decisions.
The top seven values on which I based FNL include:

we are there to fully support them.
The outcome of these
values, and my life’s purpose, is reflected in the programs we
offer: showing and teaching people who they are, what their
potential is and how they can best use their talents and
qualities.
As our lives and the
pace at which we are required to work at excel, so does the need
for business people to have a focused network. Much of our service
is in helping our members meet their goals after all, their
success is our success. I believe the best way to connect, grow
and spread the word is through our continued association with
local Chambers of Commerce and connections with business resources
and other community leaders. We like to practice what we teach.
I am always looking for
new ways to demonstrate excellence in networking and am excited
to share our new series of workbooks which I know will enhance your Focused
Networking™ and Achieving Excellence experience.
Focused Networking™
has also helped my two sons grow and expand. While working with
me, I was able to teach them the values of respect, loyalty and
commitment. Both are now successful in their own careers. I
consider this opportunity – to be able to teach them the value of
conducting honest, straight-forward business “like the good old
days” – my greatest gift.
