Getting What Matters Most Tip #4
Are You Clear About Your Goals This Week?
“Review your goals twice every day in order to be focused on achieving them.” — Les Brown
Review your top immediate-term goals daily. Reviewing them first thing in the morning and last thing at night is really effective for keeping the one-pointed focus that is so important for success.
Also, review your complete list of goals weekly. Establish a regular time for your weekly review session. Pick a day that gives you the freedom to consistently commit time for this purpose. Block it off in your calendar as a critical, must-do appointment.
If you have not yet finished your goal setting exercises, then MAKE the time and TAKE the time. Make a commitment to yourself and book time in your calendar to complete the workbook exercises. This may be the best investment in time you will make this year.
Every 3 months, go through your goal sheets in more detail and rework them as required. Book time for these quarterly reviews on your calendar right now so you do not forget these crucial steps.
“Winners don’t blame fate for their failures, nor luck for their successes. They know that a goal is only as worthy as the effort that’s required to achieve it.” — Author Unknown
