Four Ways of Doing Business
Four Ways Of Doing Business
Business owners are always looking for ways to get more business. If you are like most business owners, you might lay awake at night asking yourself questions only to find the answers don’t come as easy as you would like them to. Maybe it is time to look at some specific questions.
How do you do business? Are you finding it effective?
There are four ways to do business – which way are you using?
1. Transaction: You meet someone at a function, exchange business cards, buy a produce or service, but don’t build a relationship.
2. Referrals: A person has asked the group for something specific and another person refers them to an associate or friend but it does not go any further.
3. Relationships: You get to know the person you do business with and feel comfortable passing on a qualified and personal introduction to one of your clients or prospects.
4. Symbiotic (Complementary) Teams: You work as a team with like-minded people in a win-win situation. You work as a team to accomplish what cannot be done as one and bring something special to the table as a team that is of mutual
benefit to all. It is a win-win situation and is long term.
We have seen that more success is found in “small circles” than those in larger ones. A small circle of complementary industries focused on understanding what you do, how you do it and what a good referral is for you, will produce far more business revenue than networking in a environment of 50 plus people where no one really knows you.
