Networking Tips
Tip #1 – Phone Etiquette – Professionalism
Professionalism: All businesses, home based or storefront need to create a professional atmosphere. Whether you are answering a home phone, a mobile or phone in your office, it is important to give the right impression. Clients or potential clients need to hear, at the very least, your name. When possible state the name of the company followed by your name. This lets clients know that you are professional and ready to do business.
Tip #2 – Phone Etiquette – Voicemail
Voicemail: Make it easy for clients to get in touch with you. When leaving a voicemail speak slowly and repeat all the information twice – your name, company name, the reason for the message and a call back number where you can be reached. Speaking slowly and stating the information twice saves the person receiving the message from having to playback the message numerous times which can be very frustrating.
Increase customer satisfaction with these two little tips.
Have more people return your phone calls.
